The Cancer Center for Healthy Living has a variety of special events throughout the year. The first Special Event of 2010 is the Spirit of Living Dinner. The Spirit of Living Dinner is a very unique event that helps us recongize those who are an inspiration to our organization and to all cancer survivors around the world. We take pride in this event and hope that you will share this special moment with us.
Another exciting special event that is held each year is the Uncorked! Wine & Craft Beer Tasting, Silent & Live Auction event that takes place each October at the Embassy Suites Hotel in East Peoria. The event consists of Peoria's best wine and food vendors. Last year we had 26 wine and food vendors combined! The event also has unique auction items! This event should not be missed.
Pedal the Prairie has been a family favorite for years. The event is a recreational bike run & walk through the beautiful Rock Island Trail State Park. The ride goes as far as 24 miles!
Throughout the year, there are also other special events that arise. Last year, we teamed up with the Peoria Cancer Center Foundation and had cancer survivor and mountain "cancer climber", Sean Swarner tell his story at the Weaver Angus Farm.
We are very fortunate to have so many people attend our special events. We would like to thank you all for your continued support. If you have not attended any of our special events, we invite you to join in the fun this year!
